Privacy policy
Last updated August 17, 2026
CampGain is not launched yet. This site is a public information page: it describes what we're building and offers two ways to contact us. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing to buy, so there is very little to collect — and this policy says plainly what the little is.
The short version
- We count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- We only hold your name or email if you choose to hand it over — by writing to us, or by filling in the waitlist form.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or tracking pixels.
- You can opt out of analytics in one click, at the bottom of this page.
Analytics
We use Umami Cloud to count visits. Umami does not set cookies and does not store an identifier on your device, so we cannot follow you between sessions or across other websites. For each page view it records the page address, the referring site, and coarse technical details — approximate country, browser, operating system, and screen size. Your IP address is used momentarily to derive the country and is not stored by us.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: we need a rough sense of whether anyone is reading this before we build a product for them. Because nothing is stored on your device, this does not require your consent — but you can still switch it off below, and we honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track automatically if your browser sends either.
Contacting us
If you email campgain100@gmail.com, your message and address sit in our Gmail inbox, hosted by Google. We keep those messages so we can reply and follow up, and delete them when they're no longer useful.
The waitlist form is hosted by Google Forms, so what you type goes to Google as our processor under their terms. We use it for exactly one thing: emailing you when CampGain opens. It is not a newsletter, we will not pass it to anyone else, and every email we send will have an unsubscribe link. Ask us and we'll delete your entry.
Your theme preference
Switching between light and dark saves a theme value in your browser's local storage and in a
cookie scoped to campgain.io, so the site remembers your choice. It holds nothing but the
word "light" or "dark", it never leaves your browser except to our own subdomains, and it exists only
because you pressed the toggle. Clearing your site data removes it.
Who else sees your data
Three companies, each for one job: Render serves this website, Umami counts the page views, and Google holds our email and hosts the waitlist form. We have no other processors, no data brokers, and no advertising partners. Some of them operate outside India, which means your data may be processed abroad under their standard contractual protections.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to campgain100@gmail.com and we'll act within 30 days. Since we hold almost nothing, this is usually a very short conversation. If you're in the EU or UK and think we've got it wrong, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This site is aimed at people running online stores. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
When CampGain launches there will be accounts, billing, and a good deal more processing, and this policy will be rewritten to match before any of that goes live. Until then, changes here will be reflected in the date at the top.
Who we are
CampGain, contactable at campgain100@gmail.com. This policy is governed by the laws of India.
